About Cassandra: As an enthusiastic Brooklyn resident and cyclist of 13 years, I've found that the best way to discover this diverse and exciting borough is by bicycle. I began bike commuting through Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx in 2006 and now enjoy running a Food & Cycling group, which has allowed me to explore just about every single NYC neighborhood and stumble on hidden gems that don't usually present themselves to pedestrians. I’ve enjoyed leading dozens of graffiti bike tours for travelers from Ireland, Japan, China, Germany, Australia, France, Mexico, Switzerland, and from across the United States.

On my Brooklyn rides, we start in the epicenter of New York City's street art and graffiti scene and move around to various Brooklyn neighborhoods. Locals can bring their own bike, otherwise, we select the rental bike that fits best then make frequent stops as we bike approximately 15 miles at a relaxed pace. As we visit and photograph some of New York City's best graffiti and murals, we discuss local food, events, and culture. Private tours through Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx can also be arranged.

Before starting my own travel agency, I worked in social justice and community development so the tour also visits impressive murals that community groups have installed to lift up the achievements of their neighborhood and address pressing concerns like cat calling, displacement, and police brutality.
