About

Hello, my name is Cassandra.

I’m a Brooklyn-based writer, photographer, and solo adventurer extraordinaire striving to balance being a respectable professional and a carefree, travel-hungry goof. When I am not climbing volcanoes, jumping off waterfalls, hitchhiking, and hopping into taxis with friendly cab drivers (one who memorably carried a huge knife for cutting mangoes), I can be found in Brooklyn, New York, where I work in sustainable food systems, health equity, and community development.

Most of my wanderlust centers around food, culture, cycling, and social change. As a salsa dancer, scuba diver, and long-distance cyclist, I seek out those activities in my travels.

I hope this blog inspires you to explore new places. Feel free to leave a comment or follow me on social media!
